The green flag continues to fly on the Rideau Canal Skateway.
The full 7.8-kilometre section of the Rideau Canal Skateway will be open as of 8 a.m. Saturday.
Equipment rentals will be available at Capital Skates, located at the Fifth Avenue access point. The BeaverTails huts will also be open.

There will be free horse-drawn sleigh rides, magic shows, family skating, a rainbow ice gem scavenger hunt and more.
The Winter Carnival is Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 50 Bellman Drive in Ottawa.
