A warrant has been issued by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) for the arrest of the suspect in a targeted shooting at a home in Innisville Friday evening.

William Scharf, “Willy,” is wanted for multiple offences, including firearms, assaults and threats, the OPP said in an update Sunday.

Police say officers responded to the incident in the Innisville South area off Highway 7 just after 6:30 p.m.

There were no injuries and the suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived, police say.

Police believe it to be a targeted incident.

“The male also made targeted threats toward other specific individuals. Investigators believe there is no safety threat to the general public,” police said in a post on X.

The 51-year-old man is described as white, approximately 170 centimetres, with a medium build, brown hair and blue eyes.

He may be driving a Black 2008 Dodge RAM with the plate AT54660.

Residents who see the vehicle or the suspect are asked to not approach and to call 9-1-1 immediately.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Lanark OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E250439619.
