‘It truly changed my life’: Lifestyle hub helping people achieve fitness goals in Ottawa

Athleisure Society is a lifestyle hub created to help you look and feel your best. Joining us this morning is Founder Alanna Meabry.

A lifestyle hub in Ottawa is helping people achieve their fitness goals.

Alanna Meabry, Athleisure Society founder, nurse, mentor and coach, decided to create the hub after struggling with her fitness goals, citing the feeling of chasing those goals for years with no success. She told CTV Morning Live Friday her life changed in 2021 when she found strength training.

“And it truly changed my life,” she said. “Athleisure Society was born out of pure passion.”

Meabry says she created the lifestyle society to educate and share her knowledge with as many women as she possibly could.

She notes that so far, the society has helped over 100 people, adding that the society is continuously growing.

How does the program work?

“We basically customize personalized training programs and nutritional protocols for clients based on their goals,” she said.

Meabry says that they work with a wide range of clients from mothers to busy career women who have different lifestyles, pointing out similar goals to lose fat and achieve sustainable, healthy, and fit bodies.

“It’s just about creating a lifestyle that’s going to work for them,” she said. “Everyone has a unique journey, but all work towards the same thing.”

When it comes to the style of training the hub uses, it’s strength training with compound movements, she says.

Athleisure Society has six team members. More information is available on its website. Athleisure Society
