Sudbury police deem suspicious Bell Park death last summer homicide

The results of an autopsy on a body found in Bell Park last summer have led Sudbury police to begin investigating the death as a homicide.

“Through the postmortem, it was confirmed that he suffered significant internal injuries that were not self-inflicted,” Greater Sudbury Police Service said in a news update Tuesday morning.

“Based on the results of the postmortem and ancillary tests conducted through the coroner’s office, it has been determined that the injuries sustained by 36-year-old, Pat Forgues cannot be explained therefore his death is being investigated as a homicide.”

As detectives continue the investigation, they are asking anyone with information or who had interactions with Forgues leading up to his death to contact them.
