Sault police seek help with theft investigation, after truck robbed at local hotel

Sault police and Crime Stoppers ask for help identifying suspects and a truck involved in a theft from a Bay Street hotel on March 8, 2025.

Sault police are investigating an incident of theft at a Bay Street hotel earlier this month.

A grey F150 pickup with three male suspects arrived in the parking lot of the hotel at about 8 p.m. on March 8.

“Two of the suspects proceeded to take $5,000 worth of items from the back of a parked pickup truck,” said officials with Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District in a news release.

Portions of the incident were captured by video surveillance cameras and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Crime Stoppers are requesting the public’s identifying the suspects or the vehicle involved.

“Do you recognize these individuals,” asked Kendra Addison, the Sault Ste. Marie Crime Stoppers program coordinator, in a related online video.

Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Sault police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
