As summer draws to a close, temperatures are getting cooler, leading to potential crop damage as frost appears.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.

It is recommended to take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, covering tender flowers and vegetables on frosty nights will help protect the plants. It also recommends lightly watering before covering loosely in the late afternoon or early evening.
