A northwestern Ontario teen has been charged following a drug bust in Kenora on Wednesday.
Ontario Provincial Police received a call for assistance in the area of Rupert Road on Jan. 29.
“Police attended, arrested the individual, and seized approximately 13g of suspected cocaine and $540.00 cash,” OPP said in a news release.
The estimated street value of the seized drugs was about $1,000, acting OPP Sgt. Hayle McLeary told CTV News in an email.
As a result of the incident, a 19-year-old local resident has been charged with drug trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25.
