Fire that badly damaged Cochrane ball field was arson, police say

A fire Sunday evening at a baseball diamond in Cochrane destroyed a dugout and the west side of the park was badly damaged.

Ontario Provincial Police said they responded around 1 a.m. along with the Cochrane Fire Department to the fire on Tim Horton Drive.

Anyone with information on what happened or who started the fire is asked to contact the Cochrane OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
