Montreal police say a woman and a teenager were injured in a stabbing early Sunday morning in Villeray.
Police received a 911 call at around 4 a.m. and responded to an apartment on Rousselot Street near Jarry Street.
An 18-year-old man allegedly stabbed the 52-year-old woman and the 15-year-old boy with a “sharp object” and attempted to flee the scene, according to a police spokesperson. He was arrested after officers arrived.
All three are members of the same family, the spokesperson said.
The woman and teen were sent to hospital to be treated for their injuries, which were not life-threatening.
The incident is under investigation.
