The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) is down again on Monday for a second time and won’t be back in service until Tuesday morning.
The REM’s X account said Monday evening that a power outage caused a service disruption on the entire network that will last until 5:30 a.m. “for our teams to carry out large-scale snow removal operations.”
The line shut down at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Shuttle buses will be deployed during the service interruption.

Early Monday morning, service was down in both directions due to a technical issue.
“The important amount of snow received, carried by the wind, is hindering the mechanical operation of our rail switches, which is affecting the movement of the cars,” the REM’s Francis Labbé told CTV News in the morning.
The REM has been wrought with issues in the last few weeks, breaking down three times in a 24-hour period earlier this month.
At that time, the company said cold weather possibly played a factor in the outage.
