Poor visibility and moderate snowfalls are creating difficult travel conditions in Montreal on Thursday.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says Montrealers should expect about five to 10 centimetres of snow to fall, with a risk of freezing drizzle in the evening.

“The snow will be especially heavy during the lunch hour and early in the afternoon,” the agency notes.
Poor weather conditions can also contribute to transportation delays.
“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions,” ECCC notes. “Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.”

The weather should clear up by Friday, with a mix of sun and cloud and local blowing snow expected.
Temperatures are expected to stay steady at -5 degrees Celsius, with wind chill making it feel like -14.
