Police looking for vehicle suspected in hit and run that injured woman

Montreal police are searching for a dark Hyundai Tucson that was involved in a hit and run. (SPVM)

The Montreal police (SPVM) collision investigation unit is looking for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a 35-year-old woman.

Police are looking for a dark-coloured Hyundai Tucson from between 2022 and 2025 that was spotted on René-Lévesque Boulevard heading east at around 2:50 a.m. on June 11.

The woman was struck at the Saint-Laurent Boulevard intersection.

She remains unconscious in the hospital.

“The vehicle stopped briefly, and the driver got out before getting back in and fleeing the scene,” the SPVM said.

The suspect is described as a Black man with a beard, approximately 30 years old.

The vehicle may have damage to its front.
