The Montreal Canadiens called up forward Owen Beck from the Laval Rocket on Monday morning.

It’s Beck’s third stint with the Canadiens this season. He has not appeared on the scoresheet in six games.

Beck has scored 13 goals and added 19 assists in 47 games with the Rocket.

He was invited to the AHL All-Star Classic earlier in February.

The second-round pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft signed a three-year contract with the Habs in 2022.

That contract is up at the end of this season.

The Canadiens beat the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday 5-2, in the team’s first game back from the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Montreal is back at the Bell Centre Tuesday night to face the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Canadiens are currently five points back of the second wild card spot.

Josh Anderson and David Savard did not take part in the Habs’s training session on Monday at the CN Sports Complex.

Forwards Brendan Gallagher (personal reasons) and Kirby Dach (lower-body injury) also missed training. The Habs indicated that Dach’s situation was still under evaluation.
