Man dies after being found unconscious and rushed to hospital in Montreal

A 25-year-old man has died after being found unconscious on a Montreal street in the early morning on March 8, 2026.

The 25-year-old man who was found unconscious early Sunday morning has died in the hospital.

Police are considering it a suspicious death.

Montreal police (SPVM) officers responded to Sainte-Catherine Street east near Fafard Street at around 4:45 a.m. after a resident notified them about the man.

Officers located the man and paged paramedics, who arrived and transported the man to the hospital.

Police spokesperson Johany Charland said officers noticed signs of violence on the man’s upper body.

The investigation is ongoing.
