A 55-year-old man is in hospital after a shooting in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

A 55-year-old man died after a shooting in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 11:45 p.m. Sunday about the incident on Saint-Jacques Street near Beaconsfield Avenue.

“On the scene, police located the victim,” said Florence Stafford, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “The man was taken to hospital in critical condition.”

He was later declared dead.

No arrests have been made, and a security perimeter has been set up to allow investigators to canvass the scene.
