Montreal police (SPVM) is investigating after gunshots were fired at a restaurant in downtown Montreal early Wednesday morning.
According to the force, patrol officers were doing their rounds at 4:15 a.m. near Sainte-Catherine Street and de Bleury Street when they noticed the damage to the restaurant’s windows.
“More than one gunshot impact was located on the restaurant’s front glass window,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “More than one shell casing was found.”
There were no reported injuries, and no suspects have been arrested.
“The circumstances are unknown. The scene is protected by investigators,” said Chèvrefils.
The investigation is ongoing.
