Passengers can expect some delays at Montreal Trudeau International airport as it welcomes diverted flights from Toronto following a plane crash.
A Delta Airlines plane arriving from Minneapolis crashed on the tarmac at Toronto Pearson International airport Monday afternoon. Images of the crash scene showed the aircraft on its roof.
Flights were suspended but have since resumed at Pearson International Airport.
The Montreal airport said on social media that it is receiving several diverted flights.
“Our teams are already in action to welcome them. However, given the large number of passengers at YUL, please note that the situation may cause delays at various points along the passenger process,” the airport wrote on X.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
A spokesperson told CTV News that “around 10 flights” are being diverted to Montreal.
