Two men were arrested over the weekend in relation to a weapons investigation in the east end of the city.

At about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, police say a citizen was inside a home on First Street when two men in possession of weapons that appeared to be a knife and a firearm were seen across the street.

One of the suspects allegedly went into a nearby trailer with the firearm in hand. When police arrived, they say the suspect threw the firearm out of the trailer, exited, and proceeded to walk away from police.

He was arrested and the gun was deemed to be an imitation firearm.

Police arrested the second suspect shortly after.

A 31-year-old London man was charged with possession of a weapon and uttering threats or bodily harm.

A 40-year-old London man was charged with possession of a weapon and breach of probation.

Both have scheduled court appearances to answer to the charges.
