Toasty Friday and Saturday in store, with temperatures set to return to seasonal next week

Friday and Saturday will be on the warmer side in London before temperatures dip to seasonal early next week. Julie Atchison explains.

Friday and Saturday will be toasty in the Forest City with a reprieve from the heat early next week.

According to CTV News London Meteorologist Julie Atchison, there will be cloud cover to start the day, but come the afternoon there will be a mix of sun and cloud and wind gusts of 40 to 50 km/h.

“Comfort levels return to normal today, so we’ll be without the intense heat and humidity,” she said.

Friday’s high will reach 25 C, feeling like 29 with the humidex. The UV will peak at eight, so make sure to wear sunscreen or wear protective clothing.

Clear skies are in store for Friday night, with a low of 16 C.

Looking ahead to the start to the weekend, Atchison says there is “lots of sunshine in the forecast” for Saturday with a high of 31 C.

Atchison says the weather will change significantly on Sunday however with the passage of a cold front that will bring a high of 24 and a 40 per cent chance of rainfall.

Temperatures return to seasonal next week daytime highs in the low 20s.
