Relentless snowfall across Bruce County has turned out to be an opportunity for free advertising for volunteers with the International Plowing Match.
A 10 foot snow drift at the site of next year’s International Plowing Match near Walkerton has been turned into a snowy billboard for the event.
Organizers have spraypainted “Site of 2026 IPM” on the snowbank along Bruce Road 3, near Walkerton.
A 12 foot snow drift near Paisley has also seen it’s fair share of spraypainted messages. It’s been several years since enough snow has fallen, and temperatures have stayed cold enough to allow for the snowbank billboards to return.
Bruce County is hosting the 2026 International Plowing Match near Walkerton from September 22-26.
