Sarnia police say that they are investigating several reports of stolen election signs throughout the city in the lead up to the federal election.

Tampering with election signage is not only disrespectful, but can also lead to criminal or provincial charges.

Theft, damage, or removal of election signs can result in charges of theft, mischief, interfering with election materials, and even trespassing.

If you witness suspicious activity involving election signs, report it to police through the non-emergency number - in Sarnia, that’s 519-344-8861.
