The London Knights are still undefeated in the OHL playoffs, after a 4-3 overtime win against the Erie Otters in Pennsylvania Thursday night.
In what was by far the closest game of the season, Sam O’Reilly ended up the hero, scoring the winning goal nearly seven minutes into the extra period. It was his second goal of the game.
It was a back and forth game. London scored first, but the Otters came back with a pair of goals to take the lead early in the second frame. London scored twice more in the middle period to retake the lead, before Erie leveled things up early in the third, sending the game to overtime.
The win sends the Knights to the OHL’s final four for the third straight season. They’ll play the winners of the series between Windsor and Kitchener. The Spitfires currently lead that series 3-1, and can clinch it with a win on home ice Friday night.
