The Lambton County Library has selected the Purple Cherokee Tomato for this year’s One Seed Lambton program.
One Seed Lambton provides resources and free vegetable seeds to help anyone learn to grow food, from beginners to advanced.
Library officials say the Cherokee Purple Tomato is a highly productive heirloom, yielding large pink-purple fruits with a sweet, smoky flavour.
Free seed packets will be available at all Lambton County Library locations beginning on March 10, while supplies last.
