Middlesex County motorists racked up the most distracted driving charges during a recent blitz.
According to police, 50 drivers were charged following the “stay focused” campaign.
Next was Wellington County with 35 and Essex County with 27.
A total of 232 drivers were charged.
Fines for distracted driving range anywhere from $600 to $3,000, demerit points and license suspension, depending on the type of license you have and any previous convictions.
The campaign ran from march first to last Friday.
