Measles exposures reported at Woodstock and Tillsonburg hospitals

Southwestern Public Health’s measles outbreak continues, with two new exposures reported today.

Southwestern Public Health alongside Grand Erie Public Health declared an outbreak in the region on Jan. 29, 2025.

Woodstock Hospital - ER (310 Juliana Drive, Woodstock)

  • March 11, 2025 - 7:09 AM to 9:30 AM 

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital - ER (167 Rolph St, Tillsonburg)

  • March 9, 2025 - 10:55 AM to 2:39 PM
  • March 10, 2025 - 6:05 PM to 10:32 PM

If you were present at these locations, born 1970 or later and are not up to date with your measles vaccinations, please call public health at 1-800-922-0096.

Regardless of how long you were present in the area, you may still be at risk.

Measles is a highly contagious respiratory infection that can be transmitted by coughing or sneezing into the air, or by touching eyes, nose or mouth after touching an infected surface.

Symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, red watery eyes, and a red blotchy rash.
