Sarnia police say that they arrested a man after he was spotted smoking fentanyl in an alleyway.

On Friday afternoon around 1:40, plain clothes officers crossed paths with the man behind a business at Colborne Road and Exmouth Street.

Police say that they searched the man, seizing a four inch hunting knife, bolt cutters, and tin snips.

At the time, the man was under a probation order with conditions not to possess weapons.

A 30-year-old of no fixed address was charged with breach of probation, and possession of break in instruments.
