Knife and baseball bat seized as Sarnia man faces multiple charges

A Sarnia man is facing charges in connection with a weapons‑related incident, according to police.

Around 2 a.m. Friday, police responded to a bar in the 900 block of Devine Street, where they said a man was in possession of a knife and a baseball bat.

Police said the man was challenging other patrons and threatening to kill them.

Officers said the incident stemmed from an earlier altercation involving a group of people at another bar in downtown Sarnia, prior to police being contacted.

A 26‑year‑old man is charged with:

• Assault with a weapon
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Causing a disturbance
• Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
