Driver on the run after Wharncliffe Road crash sends car onto its side

Driver flees scene of wild crash on Wharncliffe Road Thursday night.

London police are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a crash on Wharncliffe Road Thursday night.

Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle collision just south of Oxford Street around 9 p.m.

The force of the crash sent one car onto its side and police told CTV News one of the drivers fled on foot.

Officers searched the area but did not find the person.

The driver of the other car was sent to hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation continues.
