Dangerous break and enter leads to large drug seizure, guilty pleas

Nicholas Traviss, charged following a massive drug and gun bust in 2024, pled guilty on Thursday.

In November 2024, Nicholas Traviss and two other suspects broke into a residence along Simcoe Street in the city’s core.

They yelled at the two terrified occupants and Traviss fired a single shot from his handgun striking a kitchen wall.

The suspects quickly ran off but were caught on surveillance camera and London police eventually tracked down Traviss to an address on Jacksway Crescent in the north end.

Once officers got inside the apartment they found more than 13 kilograms worth of fentanyl with a street value of more than $2.4 million, several handguns and more than $37,000 in cash.

On Thursday, the 29-year-old Traviss appeared via Zoom from Collins Bay Institution and pled guilty to a total of six #charges including trafficking and weapons-related offences.

Before wrapping up for the day, Senior Justice Bruce Thomas set a sentencing hearing in the case for May 1, 2026.
