Clinton post office reopens following 2-week closure

Clinton’s post office reopened Monday for the first time in over two weeks.

The Canada Post office first closed from Dec. 29 until Jan. 6 due to roof and ceiling damage caused by a heavy snow load.

It closed again on Feb. 6 until further notice, due to more roof and ceiling repairs.

Residents grew frustrated with the lack of communication about when the post office would reopen and contacted all three levels of government in order to get it reopened.

Monday, Clinton’s post office reopened, but Canada Post cautions residents that it may take up to a week to catch up with the backlog of mail.
