2,600 feet of copper wire stolen from roof top solar panels in St. Thomas

St. Thomas police say that 2,600 feet of copper wire was stolen from a solar panel system on the roof of a north end business.

According to police, when the business discovered that the system was not working, they called a repair company, who discovered that it had been offline for roughly a month.

Around 2,600 feet of copper wire had been removed, rendering the system inoperable.

Police are still investigating the theft, anyone with information is asked to contact St. Thomas police or crime stoppers.
