Mazda stolen while warming up in Guelph parking lot

The Guelph Police Service is looking for a stolen Mazda after it was taken from a parking lot downtown.

An employee of a nearby business called police to the Norfolk Street and Quebec Street area Wednesday night.

She told them she had remotely started her silver Mazda 3 hatchback, but when she went outside five minutes later, the vehicle was missing.

A witness told police he had gone outside for a smoke and saw a male approach the car, get in and drive off.

The suspect was described as 5’11’ with a medium build. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood and carrying a large flashlight.

The stolen Mazda was last seen driving westbound on Paisley Street.
