A man was pulled from the Speed River in Guelph after a “successful water rescue.”
In a post on social media, the Guelph Fire Department confirmed they were called to Royal City Park on Gordon Street Tuesday night after a man was spotted in the water.
Firefighters used a Stokes basket, also known as a rescue basket or litter, to get the patient out of the water. He was then transferred into the care of Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service.
