Man arrested after three unprovoked assaults: Guelph Police

A Guelph man has been charged after police say three people were assaulted early Thursday morning.

Police were called to a business near Gordon Street and Wellington Street West at approximately 7 a.m. A woman said she was inside a nearby social service agency when a man threw a coffee pot at her, splashing her with the hot liquid.

The man then left the agency and walked to a nearby business, where police said he confronted two other men and spat in their faces. Officers arrived shortly after and arrested the man after a brief struggle.

The attacks appeared to be unprovoked.

The 51-year-old was charged with three counts of assault and two counts of breaching probation orders.
