Flames tore through an encampment Wednesday near the Hanlon Parkway.
Guelph Police said they received multiple 911 calls about the fire around 11:15 a.m.
A passerby shared a video of the fierce flames and thick smoke with CTV News. In it, tents and other items could be seen piled up at the site.
Police said it appeared no one was at the encampment at the time of the fire.
They believe the cause of the fire is accidental.
