A collision has shut down the busy Highway 403 corridor through Brantford.
According to a series of social media posts from Brantford Police, a vehicle hit the Wayne Gretzky Parkway bridge early on Monday afternoon.
As of 5 p.m., the closures included:
- All westbound lanes of the 403
- All northbound lanes on Wayne Gretzky Parkway at Henry Street
- One southbound lane on Wayne Gretzky Parkway at Edmondson Street
Police also said traffic was busier than usual in the area due to the detour.
No further details have been shared about the severity of the crash or any damage to the bridge.
