The Waterloo Catholic District School Board will no longer be posting updates on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
In a news release, the school board said, “Our priority is to share updates in a space that fosters respectful and trustworthy engagement while ensuring our online presence reflects our values of faith, inclusion, and respect.”
The release said the decision was made due to growing concerns about the platform, but did not specify what those concerns were.
The school board will be sharing news on their official Instagram accounts and their Facebook and LinkedIn profiles.
