North Dumfries collision leaves pedestrian with life-threatening injuries

A 67-year-old man was rushed to hospital early Wednesday morning after he was hit by the driver of a vehicle in North Dumfries.

Waterloo Regional Police said they received “numerous” calls about a man walking on Cedar Creek Road around 5:30 a.m.

Minutes later, someone reported an eastbound Toyota had struck the man.

Police said he was taken to a hospital outside the region with life-threatening injuries.

Cedar Creek Road was closed for several hours Wednesday morning for the police investigation.

No details were shared about the driver of the Toyota or any potential charges related to the crash.
