Guelph Police have arrested a man allegedly involved in stealing over $11,000 in alcohol from multiple LCBOs.

Police said eight different men went into stores in Guelph and stole alcohol between May 2024 and Aug. 2024. Investigators believe around $11,200 in alcohol was taken during the seven thefts.

During an incident in August, employees were threatened with a can of pepper spray.

Police said a stolen vehicle was used in some of the thefts.

Police arrested a 32-year-old man from Guelph this week. He was charged with 13 counts of theft under $5,000 and three counts of occupying a stolen motor vehicle. Police believe he may be part of an organized crime ring.

The man was in police custody for other unrelated reasons and will be back in court in April.
