The Oshawa Generals are showing some spirit in their Second Round OHL playoff series with the Brantford Bulldogs.

Oshawa entered Tuesday night’s game trailing by two in the series, but as they returned home to the Tribute Communities Centre, they put on a show for their hometown crowd.

Oshawa’s Calum Ritchie opened up the scoring with a powerplay goal. Noah Powell also tucked one away for the Generals, swiftly followed by Ben Danford 16 seconds later.

The Brantford Bulldogs weren’t going to leave the first period empty-handed though, as Dylan Tsherna found the back of the net.

Things were looking up for the Bulldogs as Patrick Thomas got another goal for Brantford within the first five minutes of the second period, but it was short lived.

Colby Barlow and Luca D’Amato widened the gap for Oshawa with a goal each, leaving the Bulldogs down three going into the third period.

Calumn Ritchie stormed back to start the final frame, tucking away a neat short-handed goal less than a minute into play.

The Generals lit the lamp one last time, thoroughly trouncing Brantford 7 – 2.

The Bulldogs still lead the series two games to one.

They’re back at it on Thursday in Oshawa. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m.

Oshawa’s win on Tuesday means that if Brantford wins Thursday’s game, they have a chance to take the series at the Brantford Civic Centre on Saturday.
