Little goats safe after Wednesday morning crash near Ingersoll

Ontario Provincial Police found some unusual witnesses at the scene a collision on Wednesday morning.

First responders were called to the westbound lanes of Highway 401 at Plank Line, near Ingersoll, for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

“Oxford [County] OPP are happy to report that all vehicle occupants were unjured,” they said in a social media post.

That included two kids, or baby goats, who were passengers in one of the vehicles.

OPP posted a photo of the animals in the back seat of a cruiser.

“These two adorable passengers were persuasive, and avoided a seat belt ticket,” they wrote.

All lanes of the highway reopened just before 1 p.m.
