Approximately 12 youths involved in Guelph fight

Guelph Police say a 22-year-old man was hurt during a fight between two groups of youths.

Officers were called to a plaza at Gordon Street and Wellington Street East around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

“Investigation revealed approximately 12 young people were involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical,” a media release said.

The 22-year-old had fallen and hurt his knee. He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Police also said a 15-year-old girl was arrested because she was “associating with two males involved in the disturbance.” She was charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking and two counts of breaching a probation order.
