Woman killed in ‘targeted attack’ in central Alberta

Police are investigating the death of a 21-year-old woman in Red Deer.

Mounties were called to an apartment on 30 Street in the central Alberta city at 8 p.m. on Monday.

The woman’s body was found at the apartment.

The victim was transported to the office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the death has been ruled a homicide.

Mounties say although it’s early in the investigation, they believe this was a targeted attack and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
