Police investigate suspicious death in southeast Edmonton

Police are investigating a suspicious death that occurred in southeast Edmonton on Sunday evening.

At around 10 p.m., Edmonton Police Service went to investigate reported gunshots near 66 Street and 38 Avenue.

Upon arrival, police said they found an injured 52-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene after EMS attempted life-saving measures.

Police have not provided a cause of death, however an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.

Police are asking anyone with surveillance or dash camera footage, or who has any other information, to call 780-423-4567.
