Omeasoo was fatally stabbed at MacEwan LRT Station shortly before midnight on Feb. 5.

EPS said in a release on Tuesday that the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service has determined there is no likelihood of conviction in the Omeasoo killing due to the “evidence that the murder was committed in self-defense.”
As such, no charges will be laid in the teen’s death.
Omeasoo’s family has described him as a kind and funny boy who loved sports and spending time with family.
