Edmonton weather: Warmer air returns this week

According to Cory Edel's forecast, the week will be warm and sunny.

Southern Alberta and the mountain parks got a taste of snow this past Thanksgiving weekend. But, aside from a few brief flurries, the snow mostly avoided the Edmonton area.

And it looks like we’ll probably stay snow-free in the city until at least the end of next week.

There’s a slight chance of a few flurries late Sunday. But, at this point, that’s a very slim risk.

Instead, it’s a warming trend that headlines the forecast for this week.

Temperatures topped out at highs of 2 C on Sunday and 4 C on Monday.

We’ll get to 9 or 10 C under sunny skies in Edmonton this afternoon.

Then...highs in the 11 to 15 C range for Wednesday-Friday and the weekend.

That puts us back into the average-to-slightly-above-average territory.

No significant cloudcover through the next few days, so morning lows will continue to drop two to five degrees below 0 C.

Looking LONG range: Daytime highs in the 8 to 13 C range for next week.
