RCMP are asking the public for help after the body of a B.C. man was found on a rural road northeast of Athabasca.

The remains of 31-year-old Connor Hayden Reese were found on Feb. 26 near the intersection on Range Road 173 and Township Road 712. His death was ruled a homicide.

Reese, according to RCMP, is from Burnaby, B.C. but has ties to Edmonton and Fort McMurray.

Mounties said they have found a truck connected with Reese and they are looking for any security or dash camera footage containing sightings of it.

RCMP said they are requesting footage specifically from the Timberlea neighbourhood of Fort McMurray, along Paquette Drive and Millennium Drive, on Feb. 26 between 11:30 a.m and 2 p.m.

Residents and businesses in the area are asked to review footage and report any sightings. Any information can be given to Wood Buffalo RCMP at 780-788-4000.
