3 men charged with murder, kidnapping in Edmonton death, 1 remains at large

Police have arrested two people and issued a Canada-wide warrant for a third in the death of Sukhvir Singh in Edmonton last month.

Murder charges have been laid against two men and police are seeking a third in the death of Sukhvir Singh, 32, last month.

Manpreet Brar, 29, was arrested on Monday, and Gursimran Singh, 21, was arrested on Thursday.

Both men were charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping.

Canada-wide warrants have been issued for Lovepreet Sidhu, 27, for first-degree murder and kidnapping.

Sukhvir Singh was found dead in the area of 17 Street and Yellowhead Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 28.

An autopsy was conducted on March 5.

The cause and manner of death are still pending, but investigators believe he was murdered.

Sukhvir Singh was last seen alive in the evening hours of Feb. 26 in a commercial area near Gateway Boulevard south of Whitemud Drive.

Investigators are asking anyone who knew him or has information about his whereabouts during the week of Feb. 24-28 to speak to homicide detectives.
