3 Fort McMurray residents accused of selling unstamped cigarettes

Three people are accused of selling unstamped cigarettes out of a Fort Mcmurray business.

All three Fort McMurray residents – a man and two women all in their 40s – were ticketed under the Tobacco Tax Act.

Mounties say they began investigating the activities of the business on Macalpine Crescent in the Gregoire area in September.

While executing a search warrant on Nov. 26, police seized four cartons of unstamped cigarettes and nine packs of unstamped cigarettes.

The accused have the option to pay a fine rather than appearing in court.
