One person has been charged after two children, ages seven and eight, were stabbed in northern Alberta last week.
Emergency crews were called about the stabbing on Feb. 19.
One child suffered a serious, non-life threatening knife wound and was taken to Grande Prairie Regional Hospital before being transported to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.
A second child was assessed for a minor knife wound.
A 35-year-old Grande Prairie resident has been charged with aggravated assault.
The suspect has been released on conditions and a court date has been set for March 13 in Grande Prairie.
